Accessibility Statement
Rayl Technologies BV is committed to making its digital products and services accessible to as many people as possible — including people with disabilities. This statement explains the standards we follow, where we currently stand, and how to get help or report a problem.
1. Standards we follow
We design and develop against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we align our practices with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and its Belgian transposition.
2. Conformance status
This website is in partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the site fully meet the standard, while others are still being reviewed or improved.
3. What we do well today
- Semantic HTML structure with landmarks (
header,nav,main,footer). - Keyboard-navigable interface; visible focus states.
- High-contrast dark theme with text sized in relative units.
- Alt text on informative images, decorative imagery marked
aria-hidden. - Form controls and interactive elements have descriptive labels.
- Cookie banner is operable by keyboard and screen readers.
4. Known limitations
We’re upfront about what isn’t perfect yet:
- The animated globe on the homepage is decorative; live activity labels are not exposed to assistive technology by design. A text-equivalent summary is being added.
- Some legacy copy in our older layout files may not yet meet our internal heading-order rules.
- We have not yet completed a full third-party accessibility audit.
We are working to fix these as part of our regular release cycle.
5. Compatible technologies
The website is built to work with the latest two major versions of mainstream browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with current versions of common screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).
6. Feedback and contact
We’d rather know than not know. If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our site, please contact us:
- Email: accessibility@rayl.be (until provisioned, please use hello@rayl.be with subject “Accessibility”).
- Postal: Rayl Technologies BV, Jos Ratinckxstraat 3, C082, 2600 Antwerp, Belgium.
We aim to respond within 10 business days. If you let us know what barrier you hit and how we can reach you, we’ll either fix it or propose a workable alternative.
7. Enforcement procedure
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian authority responsible for the implementation of the European Accessibility Act. As of the date of this statement, this is the FOD Beleid en Ondersteuning (BOSA) / SPF Stratégie et Appui for federal websites, and the relevant competent authority for private-sector services in Belgium.
8. How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 8 June 2026 based on a self-assessment of the website against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. It will be reviewed at least annually and after any material change to the site.
